On Friday, February 5, 2016, Spartanburg Mayor Junie White made an official proclamation of National Wear Red Day at the Spartanburg fountain. To promote the proclamation and help raise awareness of heart disease in women, H+K Gallery hosted a celebration at the gallery in partnership with the Spartanburg chapter of American Heart Association Go Red for Women campaign.
The evening brought 20 women together to raise awareness for the leading killer of women in this country. By wearing red, together we show our support for heart disease research, awareness and prevention. H + K Gallery was honored to yet again be a part of Spartanburg’s chapter of Go Red for Women and the work they’re doing to improve the health of our community.
