This year the opportunity to participate in the Cashiers Designer Showhouse in Cashiers, North Carolina was the chance for our gallery to showcase the artists of the Appalachian Mountains. The event is hosted by the Cashiers Historical Society as their premier fundraising event of the season. The event took place in the lovely Silver Run Reserve Subdivision. As a vendor for the event we were able to bring a collection of artists that were from or spent time in the Plateau area painting and drawing the majestic scenery and the people and their daily lives in the 1920’s and 1930’s. In addition to participating as vendor we often get a chance to be a speaker as well. This year we would have told interesting stories about artist and their connection to the plateau between 1920 -1950. Unfortunately, with the pandemic all speaking events were cancelled.
